Narrowly focused on free electric buses funded by increased parking costs. Admits limited consideration of broader active transport issues but expresses willingness to follow Spokes’ guidance. Climate change motivated but lacking comprehensive transport understanding.

Kia ora, thank you so much for reaching out.

I believe free electric buses are a necessary step in fighting climate change in a non-invasive way. I’d what driving to be penalized by increasing the cost of parking as a way to pay for this. There is of course a lot more that can be done but that’s the pitch I’ve given the most thought.

In regard to questions 2: & 3: I haven’t given them much thought as I have tried to focus on just a few topics to keep my campaigning efficient. But I as part of stopping climate change, improving public health, decreasing road fatalities, and reducing the amount local councils have to spend repairing roads I am 110% behind your group. I’m certain everyone at Spokes could talk circles around me when it comes to these issues, so if I win, I fully intend to heed your input. And even if I don’t, I’m happy to pester local council to implement them.

Thank you for your mahi and hopefully ya’ll can make good headway no matter who wins.
