I’m delighted to announce that we have an upgrade - you can now type your posts directly instead of in Markdown.
This is called WYSIWYG, or What You See Is What You Get. It is also what most people are used to in most social media and word processing software.
The markdown is still there - you can reveal it with the little button at the left end of the bar across the composer (this is helpful if you need to do something a bit more fancy):
