Winter night light ride

I’m so sorry, but I’ve come down with a cold and won’t be able to make it. Looks like a great evening for it. Hope it goes well, enjoy!

How about these?

Thanks everyone for coming out on a very cold night and making it such a great event, and to Gerard for organising the spectacular lighting! :slightly_smiling_face:

We’ll definitely aim to make this an annual mid-winter event, and we also might try and get a few more lights rides in before the summer sun returns, so watch this space.

Thanks again!

We could utterly challenge the recurring event feature by holding them based on date of the New Moon?

I’m attracted to the idea of (semi-) regular rides, but I suppose we might want to decide whether we want this to evolve into a big thing (like the bike breakfast) or smaller and more frequent things. I feel that if we wanted it to be a big thing, monthly-ish rides might dilute it, and make it harder to achieve one big ride. Interested to hear others’ thoughts.

Yes, that’s a great point David. I think if we did have semi-regular rides it should be under a slightly different banner probably, to differentiate it from the (to-be) annual mid-winter lights ride. A more casual regular low-key affair

That sounds like a good idea, John. Nice to see you, @heike and @Emily_Cambridge in the newspaper today too!
