I work in the University’s sustainability office and lead the net carbon zero programme. One part of this is promoting active and public transport and supporting more staff and students to add cycling to their commuting mix.

Commuting by bike has been my first choice option since 2012 when I lived in Kingston, Wellington (hills!!!). I moved to Dunedin in 2021 and live up in the hills again. I had an e-cargo bike for when the kids were at primary school but am transitioning to riding-for-one now son and daughter are too cool to be seen with me!
