Interesting that accidents were down dramatically while the lower speed limits were in place, but they are only up 3% after the speed limits were increased again (while noting study author’s hesitation about the most recent data). It’s not suggested in the article, but I suppose that could reflect (at least some) people still driving more slowly (ie. according to lower limits) despite the newly increased limits.
