Kiaora, I’m new to this but thought I should share it and hope others will as well as passenger rail can be very complementary to bike transport and other active modes. See the local link to ratings below.

It certainly makes it appear that there is a lot of support for rail down this way among the council candidates!

Just a caution, there were quite a few difficulties with how that survey was put together and how candidates views were summarised/paraphrased, often to quite different meanings and candidates being given comments they hadn’t said. Even to questions being different when posted to when asked leading to weird and inaccurate results.
