For 2 decades the UK’s Warrington Cycle Campaign ran a “Facility of the Month” feature, showcasing over a hundred examples of “excellence” in infrastructure design such as bike lanes that start and stop in random places. UK Archive here Dunedin too has some classic nuggets of excellence amongst its Totally Georgous “bike island” upgrade and Waka kotahi cycle lanes sprinkled around the city. Please upload your prize worthy photos and praise, here so we can applaud the “sound design decisions” our city applies to bicycle infrastructure that results in low ridership and thus angry letters in the ODT complaining that no one is using the bloody bike lanes.
