It would be great to get some good SPOKES representation at their AGM. I imagine that several of us are supporters of both; certainly the organisations have obvious synergy.
Agenda Highlights
The meeting will feature comprehensive reports from key stakeholders who have contributed to their mission throughout the year:
Chair’s Report - A detailed overview of the Trust’s activities, milestones, and strategic progress achieved during 2025.
Taieri Trails Group Presentation - An update on the development initiatives and collaborative projects that have enhanced the Taieri trail network.
Coastal Communities Connection Report - Insights into the coastal trail developments and community partnership programmes that have strengthened our regional connections.

The Trust provides administrative and financial support for cycle trails organisations across the Dunedin region. At present this includes:
It was wonderful to hear that in addition to the first tunnel opening up soon, the first section of the Coastal Communities Connection (going 1/2 way to Port Chalmers from Waitati) looks good for opening in December.
Of particular interest to Spokes @members was a spotlight on the need to ensure these trails (once built) connect well to the Dunedin City network (i.e. our turf). This seems worthy of our focus over the next few years - and it would be most excellent to have the connections in place before they are completed.
