Short version:
DIY coffee, outside, with bikes
Medium version:
Come to the railway station garden area anytime between 9 and 10.30 am Saturday with a cup of coffee* - travelling brewing set-ups encouraged. Keep cups to try your luck also encouraged. Some of us love to share.
*Or whatever you like to drink.
Long version:
Coffee Outside is a loosely defined international phenomenon where people who like bikes meeting for coffee at some pre-arranged place and time, outside, sometimes in spite of the weather, with friendly intentions.
Loosely defined means it’s very flexible and the form it takes can be adapted to suit the people taking part, so we are trying out variations of time and place. Feedback welcome. Some people have suggested these Saturday ones could be followed by an optional group ride, bring your ideas if you want to make that happen.
The health and safety parts:
Bring whatever you need to keep yourself safe and comfortable in the conditions on the day. eg. sun protection, waterproofs, something to sit on. In the event of bad weather and you aren’t into type 2 fun remember there’s another one scheduled approximately 2 weeks later.
If you are using a camp cooker please check it’s in good condition and use due care operating it. If you bring snacks to share also bring the ingredients list.
In the event of a group ride check in on the cycling levels of those who want to take part and both choose a route that is safe for everyone and also agree beforehand on safe ways to negotiate obstacles as a group.
