Kia ora e te whanau!

Join us for a bike ride down Albany Street this coming Friday at 5pm and then have a picnic on the museum reserve. We will meet at 5pm at the reserve and then bike up and down Albany Street (a bit like critical mass rides) for 15 minutes and then celebrate with a picnic at the reserve (bring a plate to share if you can and a warm jacket).

Would love to. But not in Dunedin sorry. Vote Heike Number One!

Awesome idea Heike!

I’ll definitely be there if I’m well, been sick all week with the flu so I’ll have to see how I go unfortunately.

Hope it goes great regardless!

Tena koe nui John!!

I hope you feel better soon!

Tena koe nui!!

I hope you are all well! Thank you for all your support - it has been a really good journey for me. There are some amazing candidates (especially young ones) in the progressive camp.

Take care and see you soon

Thanks heaps, steve.

Yes soooo good to have another good example of slower and safer street design… Just like george street, business will changer their mind and love it

Kia ora koutou,

The ODT just rang and will very likely be there at 5pm - it would be cool if a few of us can be there!! Bring all your friends and whanau!!

Ka kite!

there appears to be a storm
should ride be delayed?

Awesome; this is a brilliant opportunity.

Well, more intermittent (heavy) showers!

There is cover, and eatery options. Wear waterproofs and be prepared to be flexible I guess.

Yes, indeed we have options…lets support the business in albany street,

See you soon

When I moved to Dunedin, talking with other parents about weekend school sports they said games were never cancelled for weather else noting would ever happen. Dunedin people were reportedly never put off by precipitation.

Ngaire and I will be there :):sun_behind_rain_cloud:

Kia ora koutou,

thanks heaps for coming last Friday! I had a chat with Christine on Sunday and she also recommended writing as many letters to the editor about topics such as active transport (holistic approach rather than just about cycle lanes) and the link to safe, shared spaces in general. Letters about voting in general would be good.
Also the tone of letters to make it really clear that it is not us versus them and we need to support each other rather than creating animosity - just like Liam reminded us at the ride.

Please get your quills out and write positive letter to the ODT if you have time.

Ka mihi nui

A post was merged into an existing topic: The more in favour of welfare you are, the more likely you are to support cycle lanes
