Shows measured support acknowledging Peninsula cycleway benefits. Supports eventual car-free Octagon/George Street as city grows. Notable opposition to e-scooters based on medical experience with injuries. Generally supportive but cautious, cost-conscious approach.
I think Dunedin has made a lot of progress already constructing the cycle way and I have personally benefitted living on the Peninsula. Bus services are fair and usage seems to be increasing. So more of same really.
Completing the missing links of the cycleways in the city remains a priority although cost should be kept reasonable
I think the octagon and George street will eventually be car free as the city grows in line with most larger cities. This will need more car parking in nearby locations (also needed for the new hospital)
I support evidence-based traffic calming strategies
Not a fan of e-scooters - have treated too many injuries!
