And hopefully he is also keen to talk bikes and George Street.** Aaron describes himself as a “recovering" elected member and resource management commissioner, having spent nine years on the Dunedin City Council, including three years as Mayor. These days, he wears many hats: co-founder of Floruit, an ecotourism social enterprise; Director at Inspiring Communities, a nonprofit strengthening Aotearoa’s community sector; and Strategy Lead for the Otago Housing Alliance, a collective working to improve housing equity across Otago through a combination of advocacy, research and innovation. It will be next Wednesday 12 November, 7PM at Moons > **Urbanerds with Aaron Hawkins** > > **Starts:** 12 November 2025 19:00 (Pacific/Auckland)\ > **Ends:** 12 November 2025 21:00 (Pacific/Auckland)\ > **Location:** Moons ---

I wish I could make it; It looks awesome, and Aaron will no doubt deliver both solid wisdom and hilarious cynicism in equal measures!
