I’m sure most here are aware of the changes coming to the lane use and legislation passed that is starting Oct 1st. I’ll link the changes for anyone who hasn’t seen it. The major one for cycling is requiring 1.5m of space for a motor-vehicle to pass. This is a great law put in place and definitely should help everyone.

Main thing I’d like to know is how will this be enforced? A handful of other countries have had great success with allowing video submissions from cyclists to be used for enforcement. Do we have any good contacts with the NZTA or with NZ/Dunedin police to get an answer or statement regarding enforcement?
