# Bike lane around the hospital (again sorry!)

@NathanK one for you and your Hospital Project contact?

Sometime in the past week or two it looks like a vehicle has run over / pushed one of the concrete timtams at the start of the bike lane cnr of St Andrew and Castle. Either that, or it was moved to give drivers turning right from St Andrew Street a lot more room. It means the entrance is now about half the width of the original cycle lane. Not too much of a problem when riding straight down the One Way, but makes for a precarious turn when coming from St Andrew St, heading westward, and turning left into the lane, especially with the closeness of the handlebar to the Blue Arrow sign.

Pure speculation, but I suspect it’s not being returned to it’s previous position after they closed off the cycle lane recently overnightto do some underground work.

If so it could be worth them looking at systemic fixes so workers don’t make similar errors in future
