Hi Devonia

The ORC contracts private operators to provide bus services to Dunedin and Queenstown and Ferry services in Queenstown, it also operates the ‘total mobility scheme’ for eligible people who cant access public transport cross Otago. It is within this scope that that ORC operates particularly providing efficient, reliable public bus networks that eventually will be fully run with electric buses. The vision I have for public transport is that it continually improves using real time tracking technology and attracts greater public use.

Continue support for Dunedin Tracks Network and other similar groups through the ORC ECO Fund, allow cycle tracks access over ORC flood banks and other ORC Land, support further development of cycle track routes

Ensure that public transport networks in Dunedin and Queenstown attract more public use reducing the need for private transport use.
